I have Neptune clothes washer model number MAH55FLBWW. Do you know what its capacity is? 3.8? 4.0? What????

First make sure the washer is unpluged. Remove the two screws on the back side of the top cover. Then you can slide the top cover off by pushing backwards and lift. Now you will expose the controls. One of the controls on the right side of the washer that has a clear 1/4 tube hooked up to it is your pressure switch.

Could be a Tub Seal leak my 1st choice. Could also be a leak caused by a cracked outer tub, issues from the hoses from the drain line connections to the drain pump, drain pump and or drain line.

Are you going to try to DIY the fix?

That is a tough one, especially since you indicate that the bearings are okay. The belt not wanting to stay on a Maytag Neptune washer usually does not bode well. It is usually an indication that the drum bearings are shot. Look for brown splatter on the back of the drum and the inside bottom of the washer. The presence of any brown discoloration is a pretty good indicator that the bearings are going. Anyway, hope this helped, sorry for your problem, and best wishes.

hmmm..that's odd...are all the wires back in correct locations? or does this have a connector?

Starting in early 2002, the capacity sizes were changed around a little bit. A normal sized washer now all have the same sized tubs (pretty much) in the 110 series (Whirlpool Manufactured) washers. The capacity is now rated somewhat by the agitator action the washer comes with. Depending on the type of agitator you have, will determine the capacity. King size capacity means you have a pretty good capacity (size wise) than others. You have normal capacity, large capacity, super capacity, king capacity, and I even think they have canyon (yes canyon) capacity. Capacity sizes dont really mean to much though. In order for you clothes to get clean, the must have room in the tub to move. The must be able to float up, then get pulled down by agitator action. That should determine the size of what goes in the washer. Always use same type clothing when doing laundry (i.e. towels with towels, sheets with sheets, etc, this will keep the load balanced better). Watch what you load, comforters are ok (per manufactures ok) but I do not tlike the idea unless its a front loader, and only by itself. Let me know if this helps you out any.
