My elderly neighbour has a sticky label stuck behind the paper roller and I don't seem to be able to life up the front of the typewriter to be able to clear it.
Depending on the typewriter model, most all have release points located on either end of the roller bar. Locate these, push forward or backward, release roller bar and lift the bar out. This would be the preferred solution, as it would make removing the sticky note far easier. These release points will look like small levers and should have directional arrows visible to indicate which directions they should be pushed to release the bar. If you cannot remove the roller bar, I suggest standing over the typewriter and use a pair of tweezers to remove the sticky note. It may take some patience, and may tear, but eventually it should be able to be removed, even if it is bit by bit. Also, with each portion removed, turn the roller bar to make the remaining part of the note more visible. Good luck.
