I don't believe these batteries with this camera are rechargable. the spec sheet calls for alkaline batteries. Do the batteries in the camera say rechargable on them. There is a Kodak battery charger with batteries , but that is a multipurpose charger for many cameras, and all it does is charg batteries like any other batter charger.

Hi i have a new kodak easyshare c142 camera and there is something on the screen and it seems to be on the inside is there any way to fix it/

How big is the "something" and does it appear on the pictures when they're downloaded or printed? If it's small and doesn't appear on the pics, don't worry about it. You certainly don't want to pay $100 service charge to have the screen cleaned. If it really bothers you and the camera is really new, take it back.

Cannot copy movies from easy share c142

It would suggest using an SD card to transfer pictures and vids instead of using the USB Link.
You may find greater success doing it this way.

How do i view my easyshare c142 pictures on my computer? Can I just plug my camera into my USB or do I need a card reader?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I have changed my kodak c142 batteries and installed new ones becuse previous ones were finished but the camera is now not switching on!!!!!!!!!!!!

This camera takes AA batteries. I can think of two possible causes for this problem.

New rechargeable batteries are supplied only partially charged. You need to charge them fully before use.

With this kind of battery, it is possible to insert one or both of the batteries the wrong way around. There should be a little +/- graphic or picture of a battery on the compartment to show you which way each battery goes.

How to set timer on Kodak C142

Press the Menu button. Use up/down to choose Self-timer, then press OK. Use up/down to choose a setting. The three choices are 10 second delay, 2 second delay, and 2 pictures, where the first one is taken after 10 seconds and a second 8 seconds after that. Press the shutter halfway, then all the way.

How do i turn on date/timstamp on the Kodak easyshare C142 camera?

You cannot do this with your camera, sorry. Click here for a free download of the advanced user manual, courtesy of Kodak.

Note that although the images themselves cannot be overprinted with a date and time stamp by your camera, the information is still there in the EXIF data of each image file. On your pc, right click (if using Windows) on any picture and select "properties" from the menu. You'll then see various data including the time and date, the camera model, and with many cameras you'll also see details of the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, flash mode, lens zoom setting etc. EXIF data will also usually indicate when the image was last edited.
