My mop quit working suddenly and I called Ocean sales in Calgary, Alberta,CA and they suggested banging the mop on the floor afew times. It works ,she said it could be an air bubble in the steam part.

My husband blew out the water output tube (located inside the mop) with his compressor at abour 20 PSI and cleaned out the tube. put the screws back in place and plugged it in. Good as new.

How did he clean out the tube, or which tube exactly? I think we have the same problem.

Shark genius steam mop model S6002 40 not heating up enough

Hi,

Please wash the inside of the steamer with a mixture of 50% water and vinegar.

You can use a brush to remove any mineral deposits. And if all else fails use heated water to pour into your device (you can double check this in your manual).

Thank you.

I have a MR jet stream it's making all the right noises, but no steam, the small pump seams to be working it makes a noise when I trigger the button iron gets hot...but no steam.

Try adding vinegar to the iron to dissolve any built up mineral deposits inside the steam passages. Put the vinegar in place of water, heat the iron and let it sit for 10 or so minutes. Dump out the vinegar and put water back in the iron and heat again. if the water starts sputtering out the steam holes, then repeat the process a few times to clear the passages.

My Hamilton Beach duration iron produces steam but the burst steam feature doesn’t work

put a solution of 10% vinegar in it and try to flush the system out.... probably that circuit, which pushes a shot of water into the heating coils, is plugged.... if REALLY plugged, you may be looking for a new iron since passage of water with the vinegar is necessary to dissolve the clog to a great degree...

I have a Tefal Protect GV9110 iron. Please please help me. It is not generating any steam. when press the steam button on the iron, it cuts off. if i leave it for a while, sometimes it generates steam

You probably have a mineral buildup in the iron which is blocking the water flow. Try putting a cup of white vinegar in it and run it through over the sink on the high steam setting and then the self clean setting. After you run the vinegar through, run two cups of plain water through to get the remnants of the vinegar out.

Why is there No steam from morphy Richards 42247 model steam generator?

It may be calcified or have lime scale. If the heater is "gummed up", it cannot heat properly. Try using either vinegar (takes longer) or an iron cleaner. You pour it in and it breaks up the scale. CLR works quite well too. Use pipe cleaners to clear out the holes in the sole plate.

Lost steam pressure

see this causes and fix it.God bless you

Inspect the steam vents from the outside, and use a pipe cleaner or other small utensil to remove any excess buildup that is blocking the vents. Be careful not to let the buildup fall down into the steam vents.

  • 3 Clean the steam iron's directional spray tip. Minerals and other debris can build up on the nozzle over time and will greatly hinder the use of your steam iron.
  • 4 Pour equal parts vinegar and water into the steam iron's water supply tank. Put the steam iron above an empty pot, and turn the iron on. Let it steam the solution until all the water/vinegar solution is gone

My Morphy Richards Jetstream is about 5 or 6 years old & works fine except that when I first use the steam I get brown water marks on items. This means I have to wash them again. What can I do to solve...

Try cleaning the inside of the water holder it might just be calcium built up, use white vinegar to clear it and you'll prolly be fine. Put vinegar where you usually put the water and heat the iron up and steam the vinegar through the iron then put water, try distilled water to save this problem from happening again or try filtered water.

I have a Bosch Steam Generator Sensixx B25L that has suddenly stopped producing steam. The iron gets hot so that bit is ok, help, I have a huge pile of ironing!

Your steam generator my have mineral deposits that are clogging the steam openings. One of the easiest things to do is to pour out the water and add white vinegar. Let the vinegar sit for about 2 hours. Then turn on the iron and press the steam button until the deposits are loosened and flushed by the heat and steaming vinegar. Do this on a towel or other absorbent fabric so you don't stain your ironing board. You may need to unplug the iron, let it cool and then gently **** the steam vents with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
I hope this helps you. If it does, please rate my suggestion!

The steam is building up in the water tank but not going through to the iron.

I suspect that the discharge holes have become clogged by calcified deposites due to hard water. You need to de-calcify the iron. Mix one cup of white vinegar with one cup of water and pour this mixture in the iron and let it heat up. The acidic vinegar should dissolve the build up. repeat until clear. forthe final, use a little lemon in a cup of water to get rid of the vinegar smell. You can prevent this by using only distilled water in the iron, but this is not really practical, so a couple of clearing runs of the vinegar/water bath each month will put this off.

Tefal Pro Express - Constant Steam

Found this on another site and just tried it. Put 50/50 water and vinegar in the tank and leave it to go through on the constant steam. Give it about 5 minutes then try the button. Mine gave an extra spurt of steam at this point but still continued giving steam out all the time. I refilled with the water vinegar mix and just kept pressing the steam button and letting it go through. Eventually it fixed it and the constant steam stopped. Something to do with a piece of limescale blocking the solenoid but that's all Greek to me! Hope this helps. Kind regards.
