The picture went out, no sound nothing... There was a pop then the picture went out. its only three years old...

on some channels of my LG tv there is no sound only picture please help

power supply board blew u need a new one

Ur tv have burns capacitors,look for pop ups caps.

Digital converter box have to be replaced.

sounds like you need a new lamp

sounds like the power supply board..could be the system board, but sounds more like the power supply board..this unit still under warranty?

It sounds like your lamp finally went out.
you might want to have someone check, just to make sure.

I have a sansui 19" LCD TV+DVD
I had to attempt multiple times turning the TV on to get a picture. The sound was fine. This kept happening when I would go to turn on the set the TV kept playing fine with picture & sound but after the 2nd attemts I turned it off & then tried to turn it back on which took multiple attempts, it kept playing for a few minutes then the picture went out but the sound was still there.
The set is not yet 2 years old.

heard a pop sound -- then the set went dead -- no lights, no nothing, and then there was a slight electrical burn smell coming from the back of the set :(

that sounds like the Hi voltage transformer went bad.. If your a tech simply disconnect the horizontal output transistor and see if thats shorted. If it is then it is for sure the HV transformer. If its not shorted look in the main power supply. Its cost is around 40 bucks or so and the transistor is about 15 to 20 bucks. This entire repair should cost ya around 150 to 175. So if you decide this tv is the one you like then have it fixed. Good Luck
