My card filled up so I switched to internal memory. Now it's full, and I can't figure out how to get back to the card. What do I push? I feel like I've tried everything. Thanks for your help!

This camera needs some free space in the internal memory to work at all. You must delete some pictures.

Your camera is referring to its internal memory. It is very small and fills up quickly...it can also prevent the camera from writing to the memory card. If these pics are important to you, go into the menu of the camera and find an entry for "copy" which will give you the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card. Once this is accomplished, remove the card and go back into the camera menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, promise yourself you will never use it again! Now, your memory card should work properly in your camera.

My camera keeps telling me that my memory card is full. I only have 14 photos in there and no smart card....how do I figure this out.

Are you saying that you have no memory card in the camera and it is telling you that the memory is full? If so, then the "internal memory" of the camera is full. If you want to use a memory card in the camera, you must get rid of the pics in the internal memory by formatting it with no card in the camera.

I just got an insignia digital camera..I was trying to figure it out and now it says memory card full?? How do I clear that?

You've filled your 32 mb internal memory. You need to either transfer those photos to your computer via your usb cord, or delete them using your camera control buttons. If you buy a 2 gb SD card, you will be able to take pictures on it, and the internal pictures will remain. I would walk you through the steps, but I have a different make (Olympus), but consult the manual that came with your camera, it will tell you how.

How do I record photos using memory card? I can't figure out how to switch from the internal memory to the memory card. Read the book...asked my daughter...asked my husband and none of us can figure it...

Most digital camera's automatically recognise when a memory card has been inserted and automatically writes to it. When full, it looks for capacity on its internal memory. All you have to do is make sure both are empty when you download your pictures.

The more sofiistcated, SLR type camera's do sometimes have a card/memory switch option built into their firmware.

Hello

I had the same problem with my webcam and the best sollution i could come up with was to transfer all the files on the internal memory to the memory card instead, and the format the internal card so that you will have space on the internal card again.

The cam automatically assigns the internal as the primary source of storage so even if you switch it, it does not work properly.

I hope this can help you.

Best regards

Switching from internal memory to memory card

Push the MENU button and advance through the options until IMAGE STORAGE comes up. Setting this for AUTO will route all new pics to the memory card, using internal memory only if the card is full.

Internal Memory Full??

The Internal memory and SD card are different beasts. There is a certain value that alows pics to be taken without a memory card in situe. It is this part that is saying the memory is full Use settings to clear internal meory of photos or files being held. If this oersists even after yoiu have emptied the memory you will need to take it to a Kodak outlet

to switch between internal memory to the normal, it means the memory card isnt pushed in all the way [the memory card not the battery] so you have to push it back in..it's happened to mine several times and that always works
