Battery pack for Canon ZR100 digital videocassette camcorder
My original Canon battery pack NB.2LH indicated non-functioning so I purchased an Energizer ER-D120 fo $52. It was used while I had the camcorder on for 2 hours and stopped/started recording an event. The amount of taping was half of the tape.
TROUBLE: I have recharged it for 90 minutes, another time for 24 hours in the camera and also recharged it with the same amount of time in a wallplug in travel charger
I only get a quarter of a charge and the sound of a soft whine begins after 2 minutes of recording

The most frequent cause of this type situation is not having a power source attached, or a depleted battery pack.
Once the power source is available, some models require manually unlatching and opening the cassette compartment cover. When the cover is fully open, the videocassette will eject automatically.
Please try the following procedures.
1. Attach the power source to the camcorder correctly or use a fully-charged battery pack.
2. Fully-open the cassette compartment cover until it stops while sliding and holding the OPEN/EJECT switch.
The videocassette will eject automatically after a few seconds.

Ok. I got some questions.
Is any of the tape quality poor what you recorded?
Usually you will get some noise from the motor when you record but is it loud enough that is being picked up on playback?
What tape mode do you record in std or lp?
