Aiwa has discontinued the original cord for this unit. However, Aiwa is Sony's entry level line. Most Sony cords used the style that was in the shape of an oval without any notches. If this is the case you can purchase the generic version through any national public distributor such as MCM.

My power cord is lost to my aiwa csd-td49 boombox. where can i get a replacement and how much would it run me?

There's probably nothing special about the original power cord, so I'd go to Radio Shack or any common electrical supply store and get it for around $8
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3875429
Or you may have an unused one from other device lying around the house.

We are looking to buy a replacement cord for our Aiwa CSD-TD69 boom box. It was a Kenic power cord with following numbers: Connector - E155176, 7A 125 V, KE-04 Plug - KE - 01P, E155176, 34 Cord...

Oddly enough, I've been going through my computer junk and was looking up several unknown cords; one of which is the one you mentioned.
I have no idea why I have it and as far as I'm concerned, have no use for it.
If you're still interested, let me know. I don't want any money, so long as you pay for shipping/any other costs associated with (I'm in Canada).
Let me know.

NEED TO REPLACE POWER CORD FOR AN AIWA CSD-ED87 BUT CAN'T FIND IT

Try a local Goodwill store or any second-hand store. Seems they are popping up everywhere these days.

These stores have plenty of electronics and power cords and transformers. If you have a simple power cord like most boom boxes (no transformer) they are easy to find at these stores.

Otherwise, go to www.alliedelec.com
you will pay about 15 with shipping.

BOOMBOX WONT PLAY ON BATTERY OR ELECTRIC WHAT WRONG WITH IT

Dear kbusse:

Does the switch feel like it's broken( switch pushed too far in,switch too far out)?

If there is a remote does that turn the unit on? Inside the unit by the power cord connection to the transformer should be a fuse; check to see if the fuse has blown. I hope these suggestions help.

Good Luck
