Removing the stand from a flat panel TV
None of these TVs have any problem removing the stand.
Stands for 32'' and larger TVs plug into the TV's body and are attached by 4 to 8 bolts that go through the cover, then through the plugged-in part of the stand and attach to the internal frame.
In most cases the bolts are 4 - one for each ray of the fork that goes into the TV.
Since bolts for the frame are metal bolts and bolts for the plastic back cover are usually wood-type screws (sharp on the top, wider thread) you can visually tell the one for the stand from the rest.
Look right above the stand for four, six or eight symettrically placed heads that are different from the ones you see on the corners.
Once you unscrew those the stand should feel more flexible and you can simply pull it back.
In order to do all that you have to have the TV laying on its face or back.
Watch out if it's heavy - you may need to support it towards the end of the operation. It's unlikely for it to get damaged if it falls down, but you still don't want to try your chances.
Giving it a little lift also helps unscrew the last bolts...otherwise all the force of the TV is pressing against it...and that makes it harder to unscrew.
