I have a Dynex tv model # DX-46L150A11 that after a couple of minutes the screen will go black but the audio is still on. Can you tell me what part I would need to fix it?

NO , nobody can do that, ever, only testing reveals what is wrong.
a shop does that with tools and documents you do not have and skills.
the TV is 11 years old (2009) the bank lamps can be dead.
for sure most the boards inside can fail, both power ,digital and the back lamps'
why not let a shop do this or upgrade cheaper. like all others do..

Dynex DX-46L150A11

That could be the graphics card, power supply in either the monitor or the computer, motherboard or the monitor. You might try a different monitor as a test to try to narrow down the problem..

I just bought SamSung BX2331 monitor, I hook up the HDMI to computer and nonitor, and I plug in the power too. The whole thing was set up, but I do not see anything. When I turn on my computer's power...

The computer monitor is outdated, and does not have enough pixel quality to perform caparatively with high definitoin Quality. Also, the HDM1 computers are the best version capable, an outdate monitor would produce least qualify display images. Acquire a projector device to dsiplay high qaulity pictures from the HDM

I have a 42'' dynex tv, without an instruction manual. The picture is too large for the tv and I need to find out how to fix the pixels, I have tried every button and even all the choices in the menu....

You can get your manual here:
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Dynex-DX-LCD42HD-TVs-manual/id/22974bh131/t/2/
This is for the DX-LCD42HD-09.

The ZOOM button on the top of the remote is the one you want to keep pressing until you get the picture size you want.
If you are using a HDMI cable for HD, the HD channels should fill in the screen automatically. The non-HD channels would have the empty spaces on the sides for 4:3 screen format.
Best to keep it on normal mode, so the top and the bottom don't get cut off.
