Touchpad zone is on upper left of the touchpad:

Turning the TouchPad on and off

The TouchPad is turned on at the factory. When the TouchPad zone is active, the light is off.
To turn the TouchPad on and off, quickly double-tap the TouchPad off indicator.

    Perfect solution!!!!!!!!!!

  • cadatlanta Aug 14, 2011

Thank you for posting this. I also learned a couple of things.....Be sure to double tap the "light" on the touch pad to enable it. When booting the computer, you will see a fade out icon in the middle of your monitor with an X on it indicating that the touchpad had been disabled.

And yes, you can have both the touch pad and a mouse working at the same time

If the light is on then the next step is to quickly tap on the light twice, it might take more than once but it does work.

I can not unlock my TouchPad.

You might have disabled the touchpad accidentally. If the touchpad is disabled it is indicated by a yellow LED on upper left corner of the touchpad and when the TouchPad is active, the light is off.
To turn the TouchPad on, quickly double-tap the TouchPad off indicator (the yellow LED).
