Try Admin on both username and password ( A caps).
Also try 3000 on both or 6000 on both. try to select the system menu button and type the username and password there.

Log in as root (lower case) and put last 6 digits of mac address in uppercase as password.

C-7980 - Means that the waste tonerresevoir in the process unit is full with less than 100,000 copies onthe unit.
Clean/ empty the waster toner and vac.Also clean the sensor.
You may have to change the Process unit if cleaning does not work.

The Default factory passwords are not what you have listed. They are the following:
User name: administrator
Password: password (or possibly leave blank)
Give that a try.
However, the web interface isn't all that special on this older model anyway. All you need to program are the Ip address, and subnet mask, as there is no scan to email function, and the scanning can only be done via a software, that you won't have, and is getting difficult to find, because it is no longer supported, and just as complicated to configure should you find it ("Scanrouter V2 Lite" is the name ) as opposed to direct scan to folder. By the way this scanning software is NOT Vista compatible should you find it.
If you can't log into the web interface....on the machine, go to "user tools', "system settings", Interface settings", and set your IP address and subnet mask...that's it.

The solution is easy! Push the Default Setting/Counter button on the top right side of the keyboard. Press the the Managment icon on the diplay. Enter 6-4-8-2 on the keyboard and select the Managment icon in the OFF position. Close all windows on the display and you should be ready to go.
