I have a 5 month old 32 inch Panasonic Vieja TV. I t has developed a vetical green line parallel to the right side of the unit extending 4 7/8 inches up from the bottom of the screen. A Panasonic representative has told me they are not aware of any problem of this nature and when I told them there are 10 other similar problems I just found on the internet, their only answer was 10 is not very many and you can't believe any thing you read on the internet. Concerning the 'Green vertical line down the right side of the screen' issue, I corrected this problem on my Olevia LCD HDTV by going through the TV's settings menu under 'Screen' and turning OFF 'Cropping'. I hope this helps some people.

Hello,

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

HOPING THIS WILL HELP TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM....

Panasonic Viera TH-42PV60H displays vertical lines on left side of screen.\r\nThese lines flickers and changes colors. Initially was about 2cm wide and now it is about 4cm.

Either LCD transistor got moist or the video chipset got condensation. Keep TV on standby to dry it out. Unless there is also mechanical damage to the lcd screen on the edge..

This is a fault developing within the screen, the only remedy is to have the screen replaced, there is no exact answer to why this has happened, it is just the nature of a plasma screens make-up that sometimes a fault can develop like this within the characteristics the display
