Does not turn on when hit power button - Samsung LNT4066F 40 in. LCD Television

When my Mac decided to no work when power button was hit, only two options came to mind, Power Button or Motherboard.
Turns out, power button is connected to keyboard which was the problem. The fix was easy, new keyboard.

What is the complete model number of the unit?

On your remote you will find a setup botton and what i want you to do is hit set up then hit the tv botton and hit channal up and do that untell it turns off your tv are the channal if that works it tv botton again and your remote will work other wise in the back of your remote it well tell you a code number and go on line to philips and they will give your your codes for you.

check 2 1000MF 16V Capacitors on power supply.

Push the power button to turn it on then count to 5 then hit enter. Then count to 5 again then hit enter. Once there hit the power button with a real quick press. The power button is also the screen brightness button. Someone may have turned it all the way down. OR the back light could have gone out.

Its the Mother Board..I had the same problem and had to have a new MB put in

It's possible that the convergence IC's may be bad in this set along with a few resistors. A TV repair shop should be able to fix the set for you.
