Sony KV-34HS420 TV cuts off and red light blinks on the set. I've noticed that it typically cuts off when there is a transition in programing for example, when the tv program goes to a commercial, it cuts off exactly in between the show and the commercial starting. Any help appreciated. Greg

The 4 blinks usually mean a vertical deflection problem. If you can solder you should be able to repair this yourself. Let me know if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll provide more details and instructions.

how many times does the light blink it is very important you mention it so that i can be able to help you.if it is blinking continously then that means your jungle ic301 the ik video path is defected have a tech look on your set for repairs,good luck

blinking 7 times after shutdown and after 3 sec repeats the same number of blinks.possible cause is over voltage at horizontal deflection circuit,or over voltage at power supply, or high voltage leak at FBT,or FBT itself is defective.open resistor related to ABL circuit.

1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
   
2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
   
5. Turn on the television.
