I don't think you are posting about a LCD flat panel set, since replacing he lamp on these means replacing the panel.. If this is a rear projection set as I suspect it is, there are two likely causes.
1) Pull the lamp back out and clean the dispersion lens/UV filter immediately behind where the lamp goes. Clean it carefully, because it is easy to damage.
2) You have a bad optical block
