Parental controls Can't watch any DVD's on this Sansui TDC2075A DVD/VCR? /Tv Combo, Can'tturn off the parental lock in the DVD side of the menu. SAhows Parenatal lock is on and set to 5. When Hit the Parental control OPtion bbutton asks for password. Tried thed Holding the VOl - ON both remote and TV same time # secs And even Longer several times, but still Can't turn off the parental control, got the tv side of th V CHIP turned off, but that's it! I don't know if this will work but try entering four 0 (zeros) first. If it doesn't work enter as many 0 (zeros) that you can and see if that works. Hope this helps :)

Channels that have been locked can be viewed only when the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to OFF. This can only be done with the remote control-it can not be changed with the buttons on the front of the TV.

The CHAN CTRL setting will change from NORMAL to LOCKED when that channel is locked. To return the channel to NORMAL, press the - button. Repeat step 2 for each channel you want to lock. If the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON while you are locking out channels, each channel will go blank as you lock it. When the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON and a channel which has been locked out is tuned, the TV will display the words PARENTAL CONTROL to let your kids know you have locked it.

If the front panel function buttons don't work, (menu, ch up/dn etc.) but the functions work normal with the remote, enter the "Channel" menu with the remote and turn "Parental Control" off.

you may have parental protect.... try to reset your tv... set to factory defualt

this is a new thing on dvds. must reset.

I have a GE 13TVR62 (with a problem listed here). I've learned that the Parental Lock Settings are changed by using the Remote Control. Usually the actual Settings are changed by pressing the Up or Down or Left or Right Arrows to make the Change; while the Parental Lock is Highlighted on the Menu.

if you can get to the operations menu page, after selecting on or off next to parental lock, press stop button four times then press enter this should clear the security code. press the number keys to create a new code press enter.
