I just got my oil changed in my 1996 isuzu hombre. Now a green symbol is in my dash. It is on the upper right. I do not have a manual for the truck. Where can I find out what the symbol means?

In 1996, Isuzu replaced its Pick Up with a version of the Louisiana-built Chevrolet S-10, the Isuzu Hombre, based on the Brazilian market S-10
so google the vortec 4300

on most v6, its near the oil gallery , on a bank.
so that means if youd look on both banks , the one with the 1 wire sensor is it.
but not this v6
its here.

If you don't have access to a lift or a 'pit', then jack stands are your best option.

under the rear driver side of motor right at the transmision

u might have dammaged the seal around the crank shaft or damaged the gasket but first check bolts are tightend to manufactures specifications

need you have system checked to get trouble code to many things will turn light on to guess

Bottom of the sump take the plastic cover off and you'll see an M10 bolt

It is not silly First buy a manual from a parts store There should be a bolt on the oil pan don't strip it when you take it out that is the oil drain plug once it is removed the oil will drain. the filter must be change at the same time buy an oil filter wrench and a new filter all parts stores have a book with the right part number for the oil filter. Buy the right amount of oil the manual will tell you how much oil you need, replace the filter first, replace the drain plug put the oil back in do not over fill check the dip stick several times to make sure you do not go over the fill mark, after you have replaced the oil start the vehicle to get the oil into the new filter shut off vehicle and check for leaks around the drain plug and filter no leaks you did a good job. good luck
