No picture, but sound - Lamp shuts off and on intermittingly

I'm having the same issue with my KDS-60A2000. Is this indicative of the lamp stsrting to go or does it point more towards an issue with the lamp controller board? I cal Sony and they were no help at all (had me do a power rest and when that did work they told me to have it serviced). I'm having the same issue with my KDS-60A2000. I am having the same problem was watching tv on basic cable, picture went out, but I still have sound, turn the tv off then back on, first the green light was blinking, then the lamp light starting blinking red, does this mean my lamp has went out?

Yes, I'm having the same issues. The picture just goes black for 5-6 seconds but the sound still comes through. It happens over & over again every 2-3 minutes. It is really annoying. I tried using the online tech support and after an hour chat, they told me to reset the tv. They were of NO assistance.



I'm really beginning to question whether or not to purchase any more Sony products. I've had numerous problems with Sony products such as a digital camera, PS3 (on my 3rd replacement), and now my HDTV. Their support is just horrible. It's like they they just don't even care.....



If anyone knows how to correct this, please post.
