How do i get it to connect to my ipod

ok, this is a bit complicated of a matter so ill make it as simple as possible. First of all, the first generation iPod Touches DO NOT have bluetooth capability, so if your ipod is a first generation you cant use bluetooth. Second, the iPod must be running on the latest firmware, which can be updated through iTunes. Third, iPod Touches CANNOT pair with bluetooth headsets (such as the ones you use with a cell phone the go over one ear) however they CAN be paired with bluetooth HEADPHONES (go over your entire head to cover both ears) now assuming you meet the above criteria, the option for bluetooth is in Settings>General>Bluetooth On. place the device in pairing mode and it should be discovered. if it is not, you are using an incompatible Bluetooth Device. Trying to connect motorola s9hd to the laptop

assuming you have bluetooth installed on your laptop,
1) you have to disable the bluetooth pairing of your s9 with another device that you may have paired with it earlier - like a mobile phone. disconnect previously paired devices first.
2) turn on the bluetooth feature on your pc and ask it to "search" for devices. assuming your s9 is on standby, your pc should be able to "locate" and pair with it assuming the s9 is within an arms length distance from the computer.
3) make sure that the s9 is completely charged to eliminate that power issues as well

• Setting the headset into pairing mode
1) Ensure the headset is fully charged
2) The headset must be switch off
3) Press and hold the on button for +- 8 seconds until the light flashes red-blue
4) The headset is now in pairing mode
• Searching for the headset on the phone
1) Go to “settings” or “connections”
2) Select Bluetooth, then options
3) Select Devices and click add
4) The phone should search for any available Bluetooth devices and display what was found
5) Select the Motorola device and click add
6) You will be required to enter in a pass code which is standard ‘0000’.
7) If successful then the headset will start flashing BLUE every few seconds.
8) If it’s a Samsung or Nokia phone you will need to “AUTHORIZE” headset on the device.
• The headset is now paired with the phone

Hope this helps
