hi all you need is the samsung pc suite, if you use google and type in samsung pc suite then hit search this will list loads of sites that will let you download the pc suite from, the best place is direct from the samsung site this should be one of the top sites in your search list, it will ask you what phone you have got and it will then give you the best pc suite for your phone.
once you have the pc suite you will be able to do what you need to by connecting your phone to your pc or laptop, without the pc suite the computer wont recognise the phone so have a look on google.

FANCHK sounds like a message saying the internal fan is not running. Open the unit and have a look to see if there is a fan and if it runs when the unit is on. You can also try to turn the fan and see if it will turn easily or if it is seized up.
You need to install the PC Suite inside the computer. Connect the phone to the computer. Open PC Suite. Sync the phone to computer. And from the PC suite you will find an option to upload the software to the phone.
