I need help to set up machine to answer after 4 or 5 rings. I have lost the guide to do so. I have already set up a greeting now i must set up the machine to answer. I have a Digital messaging system Model no.29869GE2-B Thanks Vanessa

Go into settings use the up down arrows to select greetings , you can set your own greeting or turn them off.

You may need to go into settings and change the answering machine to answer on whatever ring you want it to. Some answering machines have an external switch that allow you to select 2, 4 or 6 rings etc.... Others need to be programmed in what is called a menu option. Your user manual can help guide you to change this setting

Since you neglected to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

Rings to Answer:

THIS SETTING ALLOWS YOU TO SELECT THE NUMBER OF RINGS BEFORE THE UNIT ANSWERS A CALL.

1. The unit announces, "Rings to Answer (the current rings to answer setting). To set rings to answer press NEXT. Press SET to continue.

2. To chantge the rings to answer, press and relase the NEXt OR GREETING/PREVIOUS button and the unit announces a number, such as "2,3,4," or "2, toll saver, 5."

3. After choosing a number, press and release the STOP/SET button to store the rings to answer. The unit confirms the setting and enters Message Length menu.

2. Use next and previous buttons to select number of rings setting and press set.
3. Select the number of rings you want.
4. press set again to save setting.

I believe that you can specify how many rings should occur before your Kodak 5500 Ai Printer automatically answers an incoming call (default = 4). 
If you have a dedicated fax line, set the Rings to Answer to 1 or 2.  If you have a shared line for voice/modem and fax, set the Rings to answer to 3, 4, or 5. This setting only applies if Answering Machine Mode is set to OFF.
When the Answering Machine mode is disabled, Rings to Answer applies and your AiO printer answers the call. When your AiO printer detects a fax tone, it receives the fax. When a voice call is received (no fax tone), the call is ignored.
1 Press Menu to display the main menu. 2 Press scroll down until Fax Settings is displayed. 3 Press OK to display the Adjust Fax Settings menu. 4 Press scroll down until Rings to Answer is selected. 5 Press right or left arrow to change the number of rings.

GE Digital Messaging System ~ Voice/Time/Day stamp
1a] press and hold down STOP/set button and wait for promps.....
ie. press NEXT to change Day stamp and then SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Hour and SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Minute and SET to pick.
1b] press NEXT to pick 1minute allowance recording for recieving messages coming in, or 2 minutes or 3 minutes or 4 minutes. This machine only has 1/2 hour of recording time, so maybe you can 'tell' -record- that and let incoming callers know they have only minutes and machine will automatically shut off and cut them off [hang-up] on them.
2] press and hold down Greeting button and follow promps to change the answering machine voice promps to your own voice. Machine will automatically PLAY BACK your voice, if you don't like what you hear, press and hold down Greeting button again and try again.

I lost the directions for my NW Bell GHZ answering machine. I would like to change greeting and set the time. How do I do this? It is model 36288.
