Washer won't drain

OE error come on half way through the cycle. I tried to drain and clean items form the filter. ( I did find some" hair pins " and small rocks. )However, I tired to wash again and the same error came on. I am not able to use the drain hose near the filter. Nothing comes out! Could it be that it is still clogged?

You either have a foreign debris trapped inside the drain pump or the drain pump is broken.  You will need a qualified LG technician to repair this problem.

OE error code indicates that the washer is unable to drain the water it used during the wash cycle. OE can be triggered by a kinked drain hose or a clogged drain pump filter..... please clean drain hose back side of washing machine.. Thank you

My LG Tromm front loader has an OE error message and isn't spinning. First received the message during a full load of laundry. Had to drain the water from the hose at the bottom and finally got it unlocked...

OE is normally down to blocked drain pipes, mcalpine (connection under the sink) or a blocked front filter. empty the machine and unscrew the filter behind the flap at the bottom right hand side, check for any obstructions, icoins, hair grips etc are normally blocking here

Got an OE error, now it will not finish rinse and spin, sounds like it is grinding in the spin cycle and the timer is stopped at 27 minutes remaining. What is wrong?

The problem is in the drain system as what error code OE stands for.The grinding noise is coming from the drain pump. Loose change, hair pins and the likes can get into the pump filter and sometimes into the pump impeller causing a grinding noise during the spin cycle because the pump works while the machine is spinning. The pump impeller may also be broken causing the grinding noise.

Disconnect power then open the filter door on the bottom left of the cabinet.

Remove the drain plug and drain the water out completely into a shallow basin or the likes. Once drained, lay a piece of towel under the filter then turn the filter knob counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the filter and reach in the pump impeller to check it if blocked or broken. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, you need to access the drain pump assembly and check the pump particularly the impeller thoroughly. What should I do?

Hi

Error OE means drain error, this occurs when the draining doesn't occur within 10 minutes. This happens due to clogging of drain hoses and drian filter. It can also occur when the drain pump is clogged. To check where the issue is you'll need to disassemble the washer and check for the drain pump, remove alll the hoses connected to it and clean all the debris. The pump is behind the filter screen on lower left front side of the washer. Also clean the drain filter and remove any possible clogs.

This error may also appear when the drain hose is not installed properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine. Please post back for any further assistance.

Washer has water still in drum and OE on digital readout

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. OE is a drain error, it flashes when the washer won’t drain within 10 minutes. TO resolve this issue you’ll have to check the drain pump filter for any clogs, also check the drain hose for any kinks and clean the drain pump filter. If still the issue is not resolved then you might have to replace the pump. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

My washing machine showing an OE error before end of cycle

OE error is noyhing but an Outlet Error.. OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Clean and straighten the drain hose / clean the drain filter. Check the hoses (drain hose) and the pump filter but if it didn't cure the problem then turn the thing upside down and strip the pump out of it check if anything is caught in the impellor.. if so remove it and everything will be fine..

I have an LG Tromm Washer that continures to display the OE message regardless of what I've done. THe filter in clean, I've dranined the water several times, and I've pulled out the drain hose from the...

It's actually a DE error code which stands for drain error. Pull the little basket out that's behind the small door on the lower left front (where the drain hose is) and look inside. The drain pump intake is about an inch in on the left. Make sure there's nothing in there like a paperclip or hair pin. If possible reach in and see if you can turn the impeller. If it won't move there's something in there if it will turn then the motor is probably bad.
