Vizio VO47L 47 in. LCD TV Logo
Posted on Dec 14, 2010

I have a Vizio model # GV47LFHDTV10A. Tried to turn it on this morning and nothing. There is some power. The Vizio logo lights up and so does the control strip on the front of the unit lights up as well. But there is no picture or sound. There is just a black screen. Also, have to unplug the tv to turn it off. It will not turn off by touching the power on the unit or with the remote control. I checked the F3 fuse with a multimeter and it is fine. Any other ideas?

Did you check the other two fuses?

You guys ROCK, had the same problem TV was fine last night but would not turn on the next morning, used the F3 fuse by pass fix, and worked like a charm. Most time consuming effort was taking all the screws out to remove the back, and the trip to Radio Shack!! Please note however the fuse should be 1.5 amps not 15. The folks at Radio Shack were experts and knew exactly what parts were required. Thanks again for the help!!

How do you go about fixing the tv with the F3 fuse by pass fix? Will radio shack understand what I'm talking about? Thanks.

Add a CommentMichael, someone else posted what they thought was the model number for the fuse. Loos like 125Volts. Here are the detailshttp://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDeta... I'll be looking to try this today or tomorrow. I'll post with my results.

Hi, I have a Vizio 32" smart t.v. Model # E322AR and it doesn't work. It won't turn on anymore.

U have a sick puppy there. U might want to check the power supply of unit since it is usually one of the primary areas that go on these products.

I have a Vizio E472VL television. When I go to turn it on the logo appears on the screen and the "vizio" icon back light turns on, but nothing else happens. I have tried coax, component, HDMI, etc..

Had the same thing happen to my Vizio TV. It was on warranty, and they replaced the motherboard. It's been fine since then. There appear to be only a very few parts inside. Power supply, motherboard, and display. That's it. Your power supply is good, as is your display. You just need a motherboard.

Vizio HDTV E3DB420VX wont turn on

If your power indicator isn't lighting up, you don't have your 5vdc standby power. You're most likely looking at a power supply issue. Did this happen after a T-storm???

For the cheap guy like me who will probably do more harm than good:
Also check for the F3 Fuse on that same main input board. It is located in the upper right corner. Hard wired fuses; very small. You will see F1-F4 (F4 is empty). You can solder a replacement fuse right over it. I would recommend piggybacking the fuse with a fuse you can replace. Will need the holder and a new fuse. 6 bucks.
Doesn't solve problem, but I can go another 2 1/2 years and the wife won't blame me for screwing up the TV in the first place.
