SOURCE: Fabric conditioner still in draw after wash cycle
This is usually a matter of pulling the drawer right out (it is designed to let you do this) and taking it to bits (it's designed for this too). Most front-loaders have a bit of a design weakness in that the bit that gets blocked with conditioner isn't immediately obvious without a little bit of prior dismantling. Once you get the top off the drawer, you'll almost certainly find the siphon tube gummed up with old conditioner. Clean this up under a hot tap, then reassemble and all should be well. A.
SOURCE: Fabric softener compartment problem.
I have this problem as well.. All washing machines manufactured nowadays are energy effficient, which means that they don't use as much water as the older models. This can result in a build-up of bacteria in the top part of the washing machine, which is clogging up the bit where the water comes through to flush the fabric conditioner into the drum. What I have to do every so often, is to take the top off the washing machine and clean out the layer of black slime that has built up, blocking the holes where the water goes into the washing machine. Another contributory factor is that the usual program used is a 40 degree wash, which is not hot enough to completely flush the machine through. Manufacturers recommend running a 90 degree wash once a month with just washing powder in iit, no clothes. Hope this is some help

Get a piece of stiff wire, and make a right angled bend at the end of it, then poke it in all the holes on the top of the soap drawer compartment, this should solve your prob.
Please rate my solution.,
Thanks.

Programmes appear to be taking excessively long time to complete even with the quick wash button pressed - 2 hour 15 min for 30 Cotton wash cycle. Is this right or is there a fault? 30 Easy-care seems to be taking almost as long.
