DC (Adaptive Defrost Control) is **generally** the issue on
these....you can force a defrost by jumping L1 and Test on the board.

Look in the freezer section, behind that rear panel for frost build up,
if you see frost build up, its a defrost issue, like the heater, timer
, defrost thermostat(bi-metal).

We manually defrosted the fridge after finding the problem, but it has persisted even with an empty compartment. Does that suggest anything further?
I assume that I will have to open up the top of the fridge to get to the control board if necessary to test your solution?
