Ftp://ftp.dbxpro.com/pub/PDFs/Manuals/English/dbx2SeriesManualA2.pdf It's all in there. Here is a little extra guidance. if you are getting your left and right channels out through RCA you will need a RCA to 1/4 in adapter Radio Shack carries them relatively cheap. If it's already 1/4 or XLR skip this Left goes into Left in, Right goes into Right in. Then work backwards Right comes out of Right out, Left comes out of Left out. channel 1(left in) and Channel 2(right in) of your powered mixer. you should be set.
Good Luck, Cody J.

On the rear panel there are two jack socket marked: Left and Right Insert.
These are connected to the graphic equalizer using two insert cables, one for each channel ( L & R). The cables have a stereo 6.35mm jack plug which plugs into the mixer, the cable splits into two mono jack plugs marked tip (or send) and ring (or return). The send (tip) connects to the input of the graphic equalizer and the return (ring) connects to the output of the graphic equalizer. How it works: The stereo jack interrupts the signal in the mixer and sends it to the equalizer, the equalizer processes the signal then sends it back to the mixer. Typical cable is shown below. If the equalizer has a different type of socket, phono for example you will need jack to phono adapters or insert cables with suitable plugs. Hope this helps.

Hi, I don't know how to hook up the compressor and the graphic equalizer to my Mackie mixer. A diagram would be appreciated. Thank you!

There are so many possibilities for connection it is not practical to try other than a very cursory explanation.

The first thing is WHAT channels (usually only microphones) do you want to have the compression on?

Then do you want the equalizer for all the output, or jsut parts of it. for all channels you cn take the outputs iof the board to the equalizer, and the output of the EQ to your power amps.
NOTE: all these interconnect should be balanced connecs either TRS or XLR cables.

For the compressor, you will probably select the mics into one of the SUB busses and send that to the compressor, then feed the output of the compressor back into the board on an auxilary channel input into the main mix...

For the mic channels you will NOT have the L-R button selected, but instead the desired Sub Buss.

Sending diagrams are near impossible on this system...

Mixer and an EQ & amp ?

The order is mixer, equalizer and amp. The output of the mixer connects to the input of the equalizer and the output of the equalizer connects to the input of the amp. The equalizer has three types of input and output connections. They are XLR, 1/4 inch and screw terminals. The mixer will have one or two of the three. Choose XLR if possible on the mixer, choose line level output on the mixer if possible. A XLR male to female cable is needed for the connection. The equalizer has two channels, if the mixer has two output channels the two output channels of the mixer can connect directly to the two input channels of the equalizer. If the amp has two input channels, the two output channels of the equalizer can connect directly to the two input channels of the amp. If the mixer only has one output channel then only one channel of the equalizer can be used and one channel of the amp likewise. A XLR male to female connection cable can be used to connect the equalizer to the amp.

How do i connect a pioneer djm 500 mixer to a dbx 215 equalizer

You can use either (2) XLR mic cables or (2) balanced 1/4" cables running from the Master Out of the djm 500 to the dbx 215. Then you connect your amp to the outputs of the dbx 215.
