My screen has a blue cloud that started in the bottom left corner and has now spread over most of the screen...is it the Lamp?.and now the TV will only stay on for a few mins. and the lamp fan is working.....would a bad lamp cause all of my problems?...the blue cloud has been spreading for about a year

THE LAMP CAN ONLY AFFECT BRIGHTNESS NOT ANYTHING WITH VIDEO DISTORTION. THE BLUE DISTORTION WILL BE A OPTICAL ENGINE DEFECT AND MOST LIKELY NON-ECONOMICAL TO REPAIR.

You have a bad light engine. This is not an uncommon issue with these models. The part is not easy to replace and requires a little disassemble to replace it. It is light engine that is going bad and causing blue haze/ clouds etc. It is an expensive part, and I would recommend a new TV instead of its repair. Thanks.

I had this exact same issue with mine. Started noticing the "blue cloud" on the bottom portion of the screen.
Please follow this link and the instructions listed. I opted for an "upgrade" that was offered (brand new 46" bravia lcd) but sony had also offered to fix my tv for free.
Me too! Is this a related light engine problem that people are
experiencing with the "red cloud" in the middle of the screen? I just
replaced the lamp, which I thought was the problem, but nope, the blue
