No you can't download movies to the USB from a Sanyo LCD 40XR10F TV. You can view some movies stored on the USB, if in a correct video format to the Sanyo LCD 40XR10F TV using the built-in TV multi-media player. Due to updating of the TV, some formats may not play that once did.
You can record movies to the USB for later viewing because of the time shift feature of the Sanyo 40XR10F.
Once the hard drive and USB have been FAT32 formated and have passed the time shift feature showing the word "Success" on the TV, you can not play those devices on any other device. That why it is a recording, and not a download.
You seem very educated on this subject i was wondering if you knew what the minimum speed requirement was to pass on HD recording. Your help would be grreatly appreciated.
HDTV recordings typically consume slightly under 9GB per hour. 1.25 Mb/s
less than 2.5 mb/s.
