Can anyone tell me how to get into service mode on a Ricoh Pro C900. I need to reset the counters on for the cleaning web.

What are you trying to do? Some counters do not reset. Only those for consumable items can be reset.

The cleaning Web for the fuser has exceeded its acceptable life counter. The web needs replaced and the counter reset in service mode.

After replacement, be sure to reset the cleaning web counter in service mode under.

To access service mode press the asterisk ( * ) the number 2 and 8 at the same time, then the asterisk ( * ) again.

Enter in the service menu : intr.key(yellow) - 1 - 0 - 7 press and hold Stop/Clear(red)key ,enter in SP mode ,counter mode ,reset the present part life counter.

I cant seem to find SC550 in the Aficio 450 service manual but it usually refers to the cleaning web.

You can reset the cleaning web counter in service mode but i would advise that you check the web first.

The web is located above the fusing unit and is a white colour oil impregnated material, it is in contact with the hot roller and usually lasts around 100k clicks.

Are you 100% sure you have the correct model number ?

Your question is somewhat confusing as to the model. There is no Nashua SC550 as that seems to be the service code you have an issue with. There is a model 1013F but there is no SC550 code for that machine. That being said I will tell you what an SC550 code means on most all Ricoh, Gestetner,Nashuatec machines. The SC550 means your fuser oil/cleaning web life is over. The solution for this is to replace the web and then reset the counter which requires entry into the service mode. Both of these are going to require a service technician to complete.

Yes, you need a cleaning web for the fuser. There is a counter in the service mode that you can check to se if it has just reached it's due service interval because he last tech didn't zero it when it was replaced or it has actually run out. Open the front cover and pull out unit 1 by turning the green handle to the left and pulling To the left of the unit covered by a yellow cover is where the cleaning web lives (the fuser). There is 1 screw holding this in place - when you have removed it you will see a metal plate - the cleaning web roller is below this plate and you will see the used dirty web that has wound onto it's second core. Remove 2 screws to the front and rear of this plate and as you lift the plate it will all make sense. Good luck - by the way the part number for this is FY1-1157-000.

press*28* to enter service mode select copier>counter>misc/fix web then press cancel button this will clear cleaning web count you do need to replace the web as it has run out hence the error code good luck

if the cleaning web in the fuser is at the end the sc550 will apear you will have to replace and then reset the counters for this in the sp mode 7 data log the web drive motor time and coverage

A E005 is the cleaning web counter. If you have replaced the cleaning you can reset the web counter in service mode under counters... The service switch is right next to the total meter in the front of the inside cover of the copier.... Once you press it you will see a little "$" sign shows and hit the "*" "6""*" and courser down the the web counter. You have to hold down the Clear botton and the hit the service switch to reset the counter back to zero... Good Luck
