SOURCE: phone is detecting overheating and shuting down
you got a prob take it to a tech
sounds like there is a short of some sort
SOURCE: how do i resolve the error: use genuine battery. power off
I have an En-V 2, same thing happened.
What worked for me was dabbing a Q-tip in nail polish remove and just rubbing it along the 4 contacts on the battery as well as the 4 contacts inside the phone.
This is an old trick that use to work for the Nintendo game system cartridges when the game would **** out.
Give it a shot! I just saved $50 and a trip to the Verizon store!!!!!! (We know how that can be...hehehe)
GOOD LUCK!
