When I put my Cook'n Betty Crocker Deluxe CD in the drive to download and press continue at the start, I get a Critical Error Message: The file "P_servic.z_t" cannot be located. I contacted the DVO folks who make this CD, and they sent me download links with instructions to delete cookn5 and cookn99 from my windows folder first. This I was able to accomplish, but then they asked me to uninstall the program. When I do this, I get a message: "Could not open INSTALL.Log file. Can you please help me? Thanks.

Some programs leave behind certain files when removed. You will need to remove them manually from programs in the the C drive. Go to filehippo.com and download CCleaner, this will help. CCleaner is a program that remove items that are not used or needed, and helps your computer to run smoother and faster. so, what you're going to do is; delete any program files retaining to Cook'n Betty Crocker, download CCleaner and do a regular clean and a registry clean, then do a search for Cook'n Betty Crocker from the start menu to see if anything remains.(search all files and folders) If the search finds anything then write down the path to find it and delete it manually, then run CCleaner again. Now you're ready to reinstall. If you have any problems or the same problem after reinstalling, then the disc may be corrupt and request a new one.
