Ricoh 1035 Display Messages

This is one possibility, but there are other solutions if this don't work.


The black toner is not set message is displayed. The black toner is not set message is displayed even though the black toner is set.
[Cause]
There is a problem with the BCU lift. The communication with the ID chip is faulty.
[Action]
Update the BCU software version to the latest version.

first try to check developing gear and the cup of the toner bottle or toner motor and clean the toner assembly..=)

open the front door and close again, wait for toner to load.
if this problem persist,open the front door and remove toner unit,use a flat screw driver to press on the door sensor and check if the toner motor is working properly.
if the motor is in good condtion,service the toner unit and make sure that the unit is toner free and insert new toner.
if this condition persist, enter the sp mode and clear all memory by sp 5801 for mp5ooo, aficio 1035-4545,645,2035,2045,235,735 or sp801 for 1022,1027,1505 and restart the machine.
for aficio 1035-4545,645,2035,2045,235,73 enter sp21093 and 21094 mode before making a copyor else the error sc329 will appear.

Left lower front open door small near the floor, pull out used toner cart.

The used toner is stored in the Transfer Belt assembly on the right door that you open to remove a jam. Remove one spring on each side and release the catch while gently lifting up on the belt and roller assembly. It swings 90 degrees up from the rest of the assembly. There are 6 screws that hold a cover on the lower assembly. remove it and dump the waste toner. *** VERY MESSY*** have a vac on hand. Not a shop vac unless you want toner clouds floating around the office. If the six screws aren't present, dump the toner out of the **** between the mylar-rubber blade and the lower assembly. once this is done, the message will clear.

Well, it's going to be messy, but the waste toner is a big, tall container, clipped into the bottom right side of the machine(where the paper feeds up the side. Remove it ,and get yourself a big plastic bag, and start dumping. WARNING: There is no easy, clean, way of doing this. That's why it is typically removed and replaced with a new one, but go for it, if you feel up to it.

dear sir; the error code 320 on ricoh af 2027 it's means laser polygon motor problem, the laser unit right under the toner unit, litlle bit left. some error code can be reset why don't give them a try
1, power on the machine
2, press "clear mode"( has the c in a diamond), "107"then press and hold down "clear/stop" key
3,turn power off 10 second later back on.
I f reset doesn't work, you need to replace laser motor. thank you

The used toner bottle is not actually a bottle at all. Not sure what you emptied, but it sounds like the actual toner bottle itself. The waste toner is contained with in the transfer belt unit. When you open the right side cover, this is the unit that is attached to the door. It is a brown belt that provides transfer of the image to the drum and separates the paper from the drum. Remove this unit by locating the release levers on either side of the transfer unit (push both of them towards the machine). After removing, you will need to actually take the belt unit off of the transfer unit. To do this, remove the two tension springs on either side, and then take a small flat bladed scredriver and release the clips that hold it down (you will see when you get started). Once you get it off, you will see the long blade that actually scrapes the toner off the belt. Dump the waste toner out this end. You will need to shake it pretty hard. A better (and cleaner) option is to vaccum it out using the crevace tool on you vac. Just make sure you completely empty it. Now....do everything in reverse.

The developer should probably be changed in it. the cartridge should be inspected as well. Was there any toner spills?

The toner quantity is calculated by usage.
