The problem could be your display. Use the VGA port on the side of your laptop to connect it to a computer monitor, this will let you know if your system is posting or not. (If you see the Boot Screen it is posting).

That's not it. The three wires are WiFi (b&w) and bluetooth (brown) antennas. Make sure your computer has memory (the big square-ish door at the bottom)!
