The most common problem we see with dvd players is ther sound chips burn out almost always before any other part . thats if it is the dvd player try another deck on the tv if it works then the sound channels on your dvd player are burnt out

Sounds like you're using component video wires from your source. Each wire has its own color signal.

Double check all your wiring.

HDMI port damaged, mainboard need to be replaced.

But be absolute sure your HDMI port is not working properly, I recommed you try it again with another HDMI cable, you can also try same cable in another TV.
