Movies don't have closed-captioning as such, they have subtitles. If they are regular subtitles, you may be able to turn them off in your video player settings. But many movies are uploaded with "hard-coded" subtitles that you can't shut off. The subtitles are there on the screen, they are part of the video stream, and there's no way to get rid of them. This is often the case with movies you download from peer-to-peer service like Bittorrent. If whatever video player you're using can't turn them off, all you can do is live with the subtitles, or try finding another copy without hard-coded titles.
After a little bit of digging, I found an article which inform us: As we all know, video formats, such as MKV, MP4 and AVI, can contain several subtitle streams in different formats or languages in one file. Technically, subtitles are divided into two types: hard subtitle and soft subtitle in video files. Hard subtitle is a part of the video images, and you cannot disable or hide it when playing the video file. Soft subtitle is an independent stream, and you can turn on or turn off it when playing. If the subtitle can be removed, here is a method on how to remove subtitle from MKV, MP4, AVI, etc with ease at:http://www.faasoft.com/articles/remove-s...

Check the settings on whatever viewer you are using; that's where you'll find closed caption or second language selections (if available on the download).
