if your talking about a garage door opener , pull the manual release , drop the door all the way,, with the handle still disengaged,, push the button to drop the door,, latch the handle,, try that , if that doesn't work, you need to adjust the chain so that reaches the stops at the correct time,
here is a video on it,, Good Luck

This is not a sensor issue, I have a similar problem, sensors work fine, garage door is still fully functional, all operations, including safety sensors work properly, just the overhead lights flash. I suspect there was damage to the power board due to a power surge, going to order a replacement to see if it works, will let you know how it goes.
The lower sensors on the garage door rail are not aligned. Make certain you make an adjustment of the two sensors so they face each other in a strait line.
The eyes should have a light on them. Either red or green. If they are green then the eyes are ok. If there is no light on either eye, then this is the problem. If the eyes are okay, then I would check the motor. Make sure that it is getting power. Another thing that you can try is to unlock the door from the opener and see if the opener will move the chain by itself. The door could be jammed.
Do you mean the numeric keypad is no longer controlling the garage door? If so, have you changed the battery for the keypad? Frequently, if the battery is low, the keypad will stop working when the door is closed but works to close an open door. On most Chamberlain garage door openers, this is a 9V battery. You may need a small Philips screw driver to open the battery compartment at the bottom of the keypad.
After changing the battery, try the learn code procedure again. I've found it easiest to have two people involved when programming the keypad to the garage door opener. One handles the Learn button and the other types in the desired code.
Sounds like a problem with a limit switch or something getting in the way of the electric eye that interrupts for safety reasons.
Clean the electric eye transmitter and sensor of debris and cobwebs and make sure the wires are attached properly.
Check the operation of the lifting media track or chain. Has it been lubricated recently?
If possible, clean the switch in the transmitter in the car, it may be shorting out.
