Make sure there is not a transport screw that you must remove before installing. This screw is designed to hold the laser still during transport. If there is not a transport screw more than likely there is a disk read error. Its nothing you did. Return it to the place of purchase and get another brand.
To remove the drum unit... First you need to release the transport tray ( as if you are removing a paper jam ) also, you need to release the developer unit as if you are going to add toner... Lastly, there is a thumb screw on the front of the copier or one Black screw ( philps head) remove the screw and the drum should pull straight out toward you and install the new drum unit and lock the transport tray & dev. unit and your done..... Good Luck
The "transport or shipping" bolts are located at the rear panel of the washer. There are four of these bolts used to support the suspension system during the transport to prevent damage to the washer. These bolts are removed prior to the first use of the washer and caps are usually placed in the holes left by the bolts. When removing the bolts, remove the lower ones first then the upper ones. Keep the bolts and spanner, if there's any, for future use.
The remain screw is under the Keyboard, to open it, you need to open the lid around the keyboard unit, it use only a small clip, with small screw driver you can lift up the lid.
To do this, please be careful, it's a small things..
At the back there are 2 screws between the upper and the lower part and under the lower keyboard 2 screws also. Remove the screws and disconnect the headphonejacks under the lower keyboard, also the pedalconnection plug. Now you can lift the whole upper part from the lower part (preferable with 2 persons). The best way to transport this upper part is to put it in a sleepingback (just fits!).

I had the same thing happen to a used DuraBrand 7" Portable DVD Player. Check and see if the laser transport is locked in at the top of the track -- which would be in position to read the outer edge of the DVD. The laser transport gets locked into this position and you get "no disc" error messages.
I removed the bottom of the DVD player -- a matter of seven screws -- and moved the laser transport by hand nearer to the center post of the DVD turntable. This cured the problem and my DuraBrand is working fine now.
I have no idea what makes the laser transport move to the extreme outer position and get locked there, but this solution works. Good luck with your own.
yes there is you best to remove the 3 screws holding the top on slide back remove then you can move the drum around usley have someone pull up install bolt
