How to enlarge the icons on the toolbar

If you mean enlarging the task bar items please follow the following steps:

1-Access the Taskbar and Start Menu. This particular menu will allow you to customize your taskbar features and resize the icons. Click on the Start menu, or Windows logo, from within your taskbar.

2-Select "Control Panel," then select "Appearance and Personalization." On some Windows 7 computers, this option may also read as "Appearance."

3-Click on "Taskbar and Start Menu." This will open a Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box on your screen.

4-Change the size of the taskbar icons. Place a checkmark next to "Use small icons" within the Taskbar Appearance section to make your taskbar icons appear smaller.

5-Click directly on the checkmark if one is already present to enlarge the size of your taskbar icons.

6-Save your taskbar icon customization settings. Your new taskbar settings will go into effect immediately. Click on the "Apply" button to save your changes, then click "OK" to exit from the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties menu.

How to change the text in START Button in task bar ?
I have received many emails from users on this topic. In Windows XP Pro, you can change your Start button and you are not even restricted with 5 characters as it used to be the case in previous version of Windows but the process itself of modifiying the start button is a bit more tedious than what it used to be. Anyways, gist of act is to modify your
1. First of all, make a backup of your explorer.exe This is one of the most important executables of your operating system and incase you make a mistake, you should have its backup to fall back on to ! You will see this file in C:\Windows directory. Go there, make a copy and change its name to something you remember like "explorerold.exe or explorer.old".
2. Download a freeware called ResourceHacker by going to http://www.rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker
3. Now, lauch resource hacker and locate your explorer.exe by going to c:\windows. Now go to String Table>37>1033. This is where the START text is located. Change it whatever you would like....
4. Once done with the changing START button text, click on the button called "Compile Script". Now its time to save the changes. Important: Save the file as explorer_modified.exe (or something similar). You can not save it as explorer.exe as file is in use as you are exploring the directories etc etc.
5. All right, reboot the computer and boot into safe mode in command prompt environment (at boot time press 'F8' a few times...) and log in as administrator.
6. Now all that you need to do is to copy the modified explorer file to original one.
Type this at command prompt "copy c:\windows\explorer_modified.exe to c:\windows\explorer.exe" (without quotes)
7. Reboot your computer as you would normally do.

If you have followed the steps correctly, you should have new explorer by now.

I wanna to change of the windows xp's strat name

Download a software named resource hacker from internet. Its of some kbs only. In that software you open your "explorer.exe" located at C:/windows/ In that go to String Table->37->1033->and change 'start' to 'yourname' Do not remove single quotes. Save it with other name as "newexplorer.exe" But before doing this make copy of your explorer.exe in other drive or place. Now change the registery by writting "regedit" in Start->Run Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon In the right pane double click the Shell entry to open the Edit String dialog box as shown. In Value data: line, enter the name that was used to save the modified explorer.exe file. Click OK Close Registry Editor and either log off the system and log back in, or reboot the entire system if that?s your preference. If all went as planned you should see your new Start button with the revised text.
