HP 2840 printing two thin black lines from top to the bottom of the center of the page is that a fuser kit problem?

It could be a fuser problem.
Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print a few pages. As the paper gets
1/2 way into the printer, open the cover. Look down at the paper in the printer.
If it has 2 thin black lines, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. If there are no lines the fuser is probably bad.

3 thin black lines on copy

Do the black lines show up when you use the adf or if you make a copy from the copyboard glass. If the lines only show with the adf > there is a small **** of glass on the left side of the copy board glass > I would clean the slip glass with windex or a damp cloth..... Good Luck

Black line is present when copying document; not

This sounds as if you have some ink/contamination on the small scaning glass that sits to either the left or right of the main glass on the copier.(Depending on the model/make)As your original is scanned over this thin piece of glass the scanning device will see any spots and this will result in a black line down the page. Please clean the glass with a soft rag.

Clean the nozzles, align the print heads, turn it off for about an hour. You may need to do this twice, but it works for me.

Here's the link for how to clean the unit... I was going to post the instructions here, but there are pictures that might be helpful to you.

Before doing anything more drastic, I would try this.. let us know how it turns out.. if it doesn't work, we'll go from there.
