I pulled the accessory hose out too far. How can I retract it?

  • Anonymous Mar 16, 2014

I can not retract the hose, into the unit. It seems to be stuck what do I do?

  • Linda Jarman Jan 25, 2018

Cut the head off a zip tie. Place the zip tie in front of the hose and slid into the hole. When you feel resistance, give it a little push which will cause the spring to unlock.

Http://www.foodsaver.com/ For technical support.
You should be able to just push it back in. You have to take it out to hook to the vacuum port don't you? Here is another link for manuals on this.

    1. Place the FoodSaver unit on the edge of your counter or similar surface. 2. Brace the FoodSaver with one hand, grip the accessory hose near its base and firmly pull straight up. 3. While pulling, release tension fully without letting go of the accessory hose. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times until the hose goes back in. If the problem persists, please contact us at our toll free number 1-877-777-8042 for additional troubleshooting information. For your convenience we are available 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday - Friday, and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday, EST. Please have your FoodSaver available when you call.

I bought a Diablo retractable air hose reel from Harbor Freight . The first time I used it it would not retract. How can I get it to react the air hose.

For one model of the retracable air hose reel, you need to slowly pull out the hose until you no longer hear any clicks. Then let the hose retract (without letting go of the hose). The hose reel locks after the first, second or third clicks after the hose has been pulled out past 1/2 revolution of the reel. This is from the documentation for the Diablo 64351 hose reel: https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-x-50-ft-Enclosed-Retractable-Air-Hose-Reel-64351.html . The direct link to the manual is currently https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/64000-64999/64351.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Iliso iron will not retract

When cords won't retract, it's usually because they were pulled out too far, ie: past the red line on the cord.
Retractable cords have a limit to how far they can be pulled out in order for the spring to be able to "rewind" them back.
On products with retractable cords, they have a red line near the base of the cord to warn you to stop.

Cord won't retract on exectrical cord reel

The most common cause is the the cord has been extended past its limits (fully extended) and can't be pulled any further to pull the latching mechanism far enough to release and allor the winder to do its think. (I used to manually force it to move further by using a screwdriver. Pushed the coil a bit further over (as if more cord was being extracted), just to the point where the latch could release.
There's a troubleshooting guide on the Reelcraft website. Perhaps it can help.

Holman retractable hose reel won't retract garden

The Booklet says "if the hose retraction wheel is stuck and the hose is fully extended, the wheel still have movement. Grip the hose close to the guide hole and gently pull.
The retraction wheel will give you enough movement to unlock itself before you slowly allow the auto retraction wheel to wind the hose back into the unit."
They also say when walking the hose back to the unit, turn the tap off and press the lever on the watering gun to release pressure on the hose. This makes the retraction to the hose reel a lot easier and prolongs the life of your hose reel.

Good morning my plummer put in my new 980t sd -dst touch 20 faucet....it works so far....however my pull down hose i have to some what push it back up for it to go in......on the video it looks like it...

If you can, look up under sink for hose attached to faucet. There should be a weight on the hose, to assist in retracting it. Usually just a bolted on round lead weight that wraps around the metal sleeve of the hose. Perhaps he forgot it, or it needs to be moved/adjusted by loosening off the bolts that hold it together and sliding it up or down the hose. He may have even routed hose wrong. Have someone pull it out and slide back in while you watch it.

The pull out faucet is loose, wobbly, won't stay attached.

Make sure that there is a weighted ball connected about halfway down the retracting hose. If not you need to go to a supply house and purchase one and its a simple install. However if there is one attached you can loosen the 2 screws and slide it up closer to faucett but not so far that you can't pull out the sprayer as far as you need. Also make sure nothing is obstructing it under the sink. bottles, cleaners, etc.

My grohe kitchen faucet hose won't retract

the first thing you need to check is the weight on the hose under your sink. if it is set too high or to low it doesnt allow the proper weight to pull the hose back into position. also check to see if the hose is twisted under your sink also. I hope these answers will help you out.

Vacuum wand won't retract fully into it's compartment.

HI,
FIRSTLY DETACH WAND FROM UNIT AND SLIDE HOSE DOWN AS FAR AS IT GOES, SPRAY A LITTLE WD40 OVER WAND AND SLIDE HOSE UP AND DOWN, AS FOR THE CAP, TAKE A PAIR OF PLIARS, GRAB HOLD OF END OF CAP AND PULL CAP FULLY OUT OF THE HANDLE,AT THIS POINT CHECK THE SPRING OR REMOVE THE SPRING IF YOU PREFER AND PUSH THE CAP BACK INTO HANDLE AND THAT WILL DO IT FOR YOU.
