I don't remember my passord on my netgear router .How do i reset my password on my netgear router.

Hold the reset button for 5 seconds.

If you can't remember your password your only option is to factory reset the router and reconfigure it.

There is a button on the router, it's recessed and will need to be pushed using a paperclip or something small. Push and hold this button for 30 seconds to reset the router to factory settings.

After this you will need to reconfigure the router and set up the new security/password.

There should be a small pin-hole on the back of the router, maybe even labeled RESET.
Pressing this once will simply reboot the router, holding it down for over 10 seconds will revert the router to it's default settings.

The default password for this router is:
Username:
admin

Password:
password

Note: You'll have to reconfigure any and all settings as they will have been erased.

Point your web browser at http://192.168.0.1/. Your web browser will now ask for a username and password (the defaults are admin and password respectively). There you should be able to reset the pasword.
Another way to reset the passord is to hold the reset button on the rear of the router for about 30 seconds.

If u dont remember ur router passord u can use the Reset button.

switch off ur router press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds.

Then turn on ur router

very sorry to say but yes the Old admin and passord is not gonna Work now
Only way is to HARD RESET the Router with the Reset Hole behind router for 30 secs or More
then again Reconfigure the Wireless

if it's the router- you can reset it by clicking on the reset (very hard to find) button.
if it is the Internet password- just call your ISP and have them reset your password.

You'll have to reset the whole unit (little pin-hole reset button on the back) and start all over again.

if it is a default password it sould be either Admin or Password. if you have changed it and dont remember the password, you may have to note down the internet settings and then reset the router to bring the password back to the default. then setup the internet connection again.
