The printer shows an error message of "lower the

Basically this can be a memory error which needs unplugging your printer from power for about 1 minute then you power it up again. Alternatively you could try checking any paper jam.

First check the alignment front and rear of the finisher, check the finisher exit guide rollers if the paper is exiting properly, open both rear and the front cover and check the lower gears attach is the up/down drive belt. that lower gear one might be broken by the pin slot. This code is for a bin/tray raising or lowering failure in the finisher. This can be caused by either the trays not being fully inserted into the finisher or something stropped the bins from raising or lowering. Check the trays and make sure they are as close to the finisher/fully installed as possible. Then turn off then back on the main power switch (NOT the stand by one on the control panel)
You should see the bins raising and lowering into their home position.

Turn printer off, lift the left hand side of the printer so it's risen around 10% give the tray a slight jiggle then push tray firmly towards the printer.

Turn printer back on, Hay presto.

Photo tray problem

HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer

1. Turn off printer.

2. Pull out paper tray and photo tray

3. Remove output duplexer (on back of printer)

4. Open input sheet feeder (on top of printer)

5. Open cartridge access door. (Basically lift up control panel and scanner section of the printer)

6. Turn on printer (Power button on now raised control panel)

7. Printer may display message "Performing printer alignment - Do not interrupt"

8. Wait for a few minutes until printer stops making all setup noises.

9. Close cartridge access door, close input sheet feeder, replace output duplexer, insert paper trays

10. Do a test print. All should be fine.

just check the scanner lock & rlease
exist at lower side of scanner assy (inside the paper exit area)

Try this solution.

Go to START MENU
Choose RUN
Type the letter "cmd"
Type the word "net stop spooler"
Exit
Go to C drive
Choose to Windows Folder
Click show content
Choose system32 folder
Choose spool folder
Choose printer
And delete all printing jobs pending
Again go back to CMD window and type the word "net start spooler"
Restart your computer also turn off your printer and switch it on.

If still, next procedure is to uninstall and reinstall the printer software to solve the problem

Error code C1183 means finishing option elevator drive malfunction. It appears due to tray lift motor failure on the finisher. To trouble shoot the issue turn off the power and open the elevator section to check the elevator motor. Wait for 2-3 minutes and check if the issue is resolved. If this doesn't work then check the alignment of front and rear rollers of the finisher. Also make sure that the finisher exit guide rollers are fine & the paper is exiting properly, open both rear and the front cover and check the lower gears attach is the up/down drive belt. Sometimes this error may appear due to a broken lower gear by the pin slot. Hope this helps...

where can i find the Riso RZ Paper-feed-tray upper or lower safety switch

The reason why it keeps saying this is cuz you paper feed tire needs replacing. Now i am not sure based on the cost of this unit if it would be worth to have this repaired but, this is what is causing this error.
