Asko 620 washing machine keeps filling

I have an Asko W620 Washer that worked fine before we weent out of town. We returned today and tried to do some laundry and the washing machine keeps filling up and doesn't stop - even if it is unplugged! Any suggestions?

Sounds like your fill solenoid has stuck in the open position. There are 3 #20 Torx fittings along the back and you can lift off the top panel. The solenoid will be in the back left side.

I would shut off your house water supply to the machine and then do a voltage check to see if the solenoid is remaining energized. Another more simple option is to give the device a few light taps as some debris may have become trapped inside and caused it to become stuck open.

Sounds like your timer is not advancing. Advance the knob manually and if this works you will need to replace your timer.

Probably the drum spider has gone loose from the drum. You need a new drum to fix this problem.

Good luck

Asko W620 washing machine not spinning

Sounds like the motor brushes need to be cleaned or replaced. Take the back off the washer, remove the motor and gently scrape the excess carbon or debris off the brushes with a pocket knife. I did this and it ran well for about 50 loads before building back up. I am ordering new brushes now because when I checked the brushes last week they were obviously worn more than 4 weeks ago.
