I have a kitchenaid refrigerator, model KSRX25FTSS01. The delay mechanism fell out of the ice dispenser. It appears to be intact. How can I replace it? Does the front cover pop off for access?

remove the bottom tray that you sit your glass on, push down on the bottom of the trim arround the despenser, lift outward then upward on the trim panel, have a piece of duct tape handy to tape the panel out of your way to gain access to the assembly

hi there,

the icemaker is not making ice due to the fact that the valve solenoid may need replacing.

check the water line into the icemaker, to make sure that you don't have a water leak.

the reason the fridge is running is due to the fact that it's trying to remove as much warm air out as possible.

i would have a technician look at it.

Icemaker flap door doesn't shut completely resulting in in frost layers forming on and around ice bucket and water leaking into the drip tray and ice forming on freezer door near the freezer door.

Hi,
I found 9 different model to your model number, but all the unit use the same dispenser components.
Below there is a picture of the dispenser, item number 4,5,6,7 and 8 all deal with the working parts.
4 - return spring 5 - pin 6 - dispenser door 7 - Door Mechanism Assy (this one has a heater, not really needed) 8 - Door Delay kidlmo_2.gif but in looking up history, I found a complete door kit that should solve the issue. They came out with a part 8201649 and this part contains all those item and a bracket that can fix the broken tabs that the pin sits in. That was more common.
Back a couple of years ago they stop telling customer that the repair was not possible when the bracket to the pin support (mount) would break.
I hope this helps..

Ice Dispenser problem on KitchenAid KSCS25INSS00 Refrigerator

Hi DonaldG.

Are you sure it is something blocking the ice from falling?
You might want to check this, There is a troubleshoot section for ice problems, try to see if one of that solutions match your situation.

I have what appears to be a water leak of some kind in the freezer section near the ice making part of the freezer. You can tell because the freezer is building up ICE all around the bottom of the ICE...

Check to be sure your ICE door chute is closed or closing properly! I have encountered many of these units that have had the flap break off the mounting tabs inside the dispenser opening. If the flap appears to be intact, I would next guess that your ice maker timing is allowing the ice maker to over fill and spill water into the ice bucket.
You can confirm this problem by looking at the ice maker and seeing if the ice cubes in it are filled right up to the center bar that drives the cubes out of the mold.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thanks, BOB

Hing and plug fell out and now Ice maker door stays open

It just un-snaps. Pry gently along the top or bottom edge and work it off with a plastic putty knife. Snaps pretty good and sounds like it is breaking.

KitchenAid Superba - delay in dispensing ice cubes

be a liitle patient ,if it is a fairly new appliance be grateful it's working properly.

All laughter aside : check the ice bucket that the ice falls into and it may be that the ice is clumping up and not in line with the auger that pulls it to you.
