My 2 yr old nextra HNL842 bought in august 2008 in Currys Sligo for E330 needed the control panel replaced at a cost of E110 in march 2oio Now in December 2010 the drum is now leaking & flooded my kitchen I have been told that a drum is too expensive to replace So in 2 years & 4 months my washing machine is beyond repair after already spending a large sum of money on previous repair I am extremely annoyed as all my old washing machines lasted at least 10 years Less than 3 years is unacceptable for a machine to break down The machine has not been abused as i am the only 1 who uses it once every day I want to know what hoover are willing to do about my problem as i will never buy another hoover product again & i will advise all my friends & family to never buy hoover products if i do not receive a satisfactory outcome Yours sincerely annoyed customer Martina Kelly

I had a problem and when they took the back off. Underwire bra had got jammed through drum holes which stopped it spinning and water issues. I hope this might help.

Empty your machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl or bucket. Then remove the kick plate and check the filter for blockages.Before replacing try the machine on drain to see if the pump is running, if problem persists there may be a blockage in the pipe from the drum to the pump.

Thanks for using FixYa. The start and pre-wash usually flash due to a clogged drain hose or the water pump. You’ll need to drain the water out of the base and also check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine). If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
