If you're just trying to download your pictures, use a card reader. When you plug it into a USB port on your computer, an icon will appear on the screen with a name like "noname" or something similar. Just double-click on it and your pictures open.

Follow the instructions in the "Copy" subsection of the "Using PLAY Menu" section of the manual (page 72 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

Please reinstall your camera drivers.Uninstall it first from the control panel add/remove programs and then with the disc provided to you install the drivers.
It seems Panasonic
dmc-zs3 seems don't support charging the panasonic batterywhen pluging in computer by USB, Maybe you can
find aUSB
adapter charger, or using a special charger for it.
Hopefully sounds like the battery just died while it was plugged into computer. First recharge the battery and disconnect the camera from the computer. If this does not work then possibly it can be just a coincidence that the circuitry in the camera failed while it was plugged into the computer. You may have to take or ship to service center for evaluation.
Apple made that very easy with the current operating system, OSX. All you need to do is have the camera off, plug the connector cable to the camera and to a USB port on your Mac. Once you turn the camera on, your Mac should load iPhoto and will give you the option to import from your camera.
