My washing machine is a Frigidaire Gallery GLTF1670ASO, and it has died. I need a machine exactly the same size so my Frigidaire dryer, which still works, can stack on top of it. Is this possible? Will I need a new stacking kit? What make and model would you recommend? THANK YOU
Measure your dryer carefully and check with the dealer where you wish to purchase a machine, regarding
the stacking kit. It may work. They are general standard sized. Don't ry to gerry rig anything or you may have big problems. In your case I recommend using a well known SMALL appliance store that does theri own installations, so they will bring what they may need, but if yours works, they can still use it.Good Luck

Our 7 year old frigidaire FWT647GHSO broke a shock and now needs new tubs and bearings (we had black grease marks like a crazed felt pen and octopus suckers all over the laundry). We now have a working dryer that will only stack over ONE model of frigidaire washer - the FTF530, which sucks according to reviews. We want something built better - with metal tubs and so forth so that we can get more than 7 years of use out of our $600+ purchase.
Can we jerryrig a stacking assembly so that we can buy a better washer and still use our dryer? The dryer works great...
We also have a 7 year old frigidaire FWT647GHSO washer the the shocks went and the tub fell to the floor. We also need to find a washer that will stack with our dryer. HELP!
