Fridge Freezer issue

Check the fan on the back and blow air through it to clear any dust accumulation.

There are 2 things in that area that can make a noise, the ice maker,and an evaporator fan,depending on the model.The fan is an easy fix if the blade is just hitting something ,but you have to be abit mechanically inclined to get to it.The icemaker has a little motor that sometimes gets stuck in the ice harvest mode,then you just have to unstick it ,also depending on what kind of fridge you have..everything else is down at the bottom,compressor,condenser,ect. In any case you probably want to call a tech unless its old,because repairs would be more than it is worth.

1. Open the freezer to see if the noise gets louder. If the noise becomes louder with the freezer open, the noise is likely caused by the evaporator fan. If the evaporator fan is the culprit, replace it to get rid of the noise.
2. Take raer panel off inside freezer and check there is no ice build up which is hitting the fan
3. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall, and check the condenser fan at the back of the fridge. A metal panel may cover the fan, which can be unscrewed. Listen to see if the fan is the source of the noise. If it is, the fan may need to be cleaned or replaced.
4. Unplug the refrigerator, and listen to the back side of the fridge. The fans will immediately stop running. If the back of the fridge continues to make a noise after the fans have shut off, the sound is most likely coming from the compressor, which is located at the back of the fridge, near the bottom. If you have a compressor problem, you either have to replace the compressor or the entire refrigerator.

no problem with that it is normal..your ref working properly it is just the motor you hear

Refrigerators are not the most complicated appliance in the house, but it still takes a lot of parts working together perfectly to keep your food cold. If one of those parts breaks down, or begins to, you may start to hear new noises from your refrigerator. Freezer Fan
Freezers can be located on either side of the refrigerator, or may be at the top or the bottom of the unit. If you hear a noise coming from the area in which the freezer is located, you should open the freezer and see if the noise gets louder. Any squealing sounds coming from this area indicate a broken freezer fan. These units are not designed to be repaired, and eventually one making a loud noise will break and need replacement.

Condenser Fan
All motors typically require a fan in order to maintain a safe operating temperature. Like the fan in the freezer, the fan that runs on the condenser can also break down and create a similar squealing noise. The location of the fan noise is what differentiates the freezer and condenser fan problems. If you hear a fan noise coming from the lower part of the fridge at the rear, it is likely the condenser fan causing the problem.

Action to do

most fridge-freezers send cold air from the freezer to cool the fridge. the flow is usually controlled by adjusting a 'warmer-cooler bar or wheel in the fridge. maybe you disturbed its original position while working on the fan.

Buy another brand. LG are cheap and nasty when it comes to whitegoods even though the price tag is still up there. I have done nothing but research for my next fridge and i might go with the same brand as i have had for the past ten years and have not had a single problem.(it is definately not a LG of Samsung or one of these other brands that have all the advertising and have only been around for a little while)

If the noise from the compressor sounds like a humming followed by a click, the compressor is "short cycling". Could be either the compressor relay or the compressor itself is bad. Not sure on the hissing noise. Could be just a loose panel that needs to be tightened or adjusted.

Spray a good quantity of WD-40 on the spindle of the fan motor where it enters the motor itself. This should get the fan working smoothly with no noise. This will probably solve the other problems, as the fan prevents various components from overheating and shutting down.

take the cover off the fan in the freezer section and see if the fan blade is loose or hitting ice the blade just pushes on make sure the mountings are tight its probably the blade but you might need to replace the motor if i reamber correctly on the cover there is a screw at the bottom you remove then slide the cover up and its on hooks plastic hooks built on the cover ok
