I have an aldi powercraft generator pc3200dv/10 i can start it but it cuts out after a few minutes ,i am finfding it hard to find the fuel valve also it runs for the few minues with choke on but if you turn the choke off it stalls. can you help me.

Hi there, YES manual VERY misleading, starting it all revolves around the Choke, if I remember correctly, place lever on Choke, start then move lever to on position, good luck
The choke lever is labeled incorectly! Start the engine with the choke lever in the 'OFF' position then after a few seconds move the lever to 'ON'. My PC3200 is not fitted with a fuel valve either. Fuel (is it fresh, carb clean, jets clear)
Compression (test with compression gauge)
A spark at the right time (remove plug, ground it, check for spark)
The needle valve on the carbureator float is stuck open or has a little debris stuck in it. You will have to take the bowl off and clean out the seat for the needel valve. A Qtip or small wooden dowel works best.
I suggest that the rings are now soft or broken and not sealing or the valves are stuck open unless it is a 2 stroke. Gen sets have a low oil cut out switch that stops the motor immediately there is insufficient oil in the sump. I wonder why it allowed you to run the engine for 10 minutes as it will not even allow you to start with no oil.
You have a fuel delivery issue that can be dealt with by cleaning carb or replacing it. If you do replace carb has to be adjusted to the motor.(idle, mixture)
If the carb hasn't been rebuilt in a few years, often the fuel pump diaphram gets weak or the little flap check valves get deteriorated. Carb kits are about $20.
